s a new resident of Kenya, may I invite readers
to contact me about some exciting opportunities in this country.
I have lived in Kenya almost six months now, after moving from
Australia. I have been appointed as regional director chief executive
of an NGO 'rural initiative program'.
Our activities include assistance to unemployed
young people, in the form of small enterprise projects. We also
focus on rehabilitation initiatives, particularly in the provision
of equipment. We help establish rural health clinics and equip
them. We support individuals and families in special need. We
also seek donor funding to improve school facilities, among other
efforts.
As a holiday option, some people come to this
country and offer voluntary support to programs such as ours.
I would be pleased to discuss such possibilities with anyone who
may like to come here. There is the added advantage of visiting
a country rich in adventure. Tourism is one of Kenya's major industries,
and the landscape offers endless scenes of wildlife, which are
almost beyond belief. Eco-tourism is also a growing sector. Visitors
are able to live in traditional environments and experience a
day in the life of rural Kenya.
Given my work with this NGO, I am also seeking
support from colleagues and individuals who might like to donate
money or materials that will assist our clients. Such people can
contact me by email at calwebster@hotmail.com
or by mobile phone at 254 72784098.
May I wish all readers compliments of the season
and a prosperous new year.
