Hiring Workers with Disabilities
By Southeast ADA Center

The Southeast ADA Center is offering advice on hiring workers with disabilities. Its Employer Webinar Series provides in-depth information on recruiting, hiring and retaining qualified individuals with disabilities. Leaders in the field will share their experience and success in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce. This series will enhance employers’ knowledge and increase awareness of practical methods of increasing diversity in the workplace through the inclusion of employees with disabilities in the workforce.

Benefits of Series
Participating in the Webinar Series can support the professional development of an individual, an entire department or an entire agency for less money than sending staff to comparable training events.

The Southeast ADA Center encourages employers and sponsoring agencies to invite individuals, co-workers, local employers and community partners to participate at your site. Site coordinators can use the time following each session to discuss their employment program and to dialogue with participants about "next steps" to improve their approach to employing individuals with disabilities.

Target Audiences for the webinars include employers, job development specialists, human resource managers, and anyone interested in learning more about employing people with disabilities.
